1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using DocExtract (“we”, “us”, “our”) services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These Terms constitute a binding legal agreement between you and DocExtract.

2. Definitions

• Account: Your unique user account created to access the Service.
• Service: The DocExtract web app and related services, including invoice upload, OCR, LLM processing, and CSV generation.
• User Content: Files you upload and any derived data/metadata.
• Subscription: Your paid plan (Basic, Professional, Business) and associated features.

3. User Accounts

You must register with a valid email and password. You're responsible for your account activity. We may suspend or terminate accounts for misuse or breach.

4. Subscription Plans & Payment

• Plans: Basic (Free), Professional (Paid), and Business (Enterprise).
• Billing: Subscriptions are billed in advance. Fees are non-refundable unless required by law.
• Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the next billing cycle.
• Payment Gateway: Razorpay India Pvt. Ltd., PCI DSS (v4.0) certified. No storage of CVV/PIN.

6. User Obligations

You agree not to:

• Use the Service unlawfully or violate third-party rights.
• Upload malicious content (e.g., viruses, trojans).
• Reverse-engineer or hack the Service.

7. License Grant & Restrictions

We grant you a limited, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable license to use the Service. You may not resell or redistribute it without written permission.

8. User Content & Uploads

• Ownership: You retain rights to your content.
• Storage: Files are stored securely on Amazon S3 and auto-purged after 90 days.
• Processing: Data is processed using Tesseract OCR and LLMs.

9. Data Storage & Security

Data is encrypted in-transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). Storage on AWS with ISO/IEC 27001 compliance. Data may be processed internationally.

10. Privacy & Data Protection

We follow the IT Act, 2000 and SPDI Rules, 2011. You can access, correct, or delete data through your account or by contacting our Grievance Officer.

11. Intellectual Property

All rights in the Service belong to DocExtract or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part without permission.

12. Fees, Billing & Refunds

Fees are displayed on our website. Changes come with 30 days' notice. Refunds are not issued unless required by law.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “AS IS” without warranties of any kind. No guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free service.

14. Limitation of Liability

DocExtract is not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to fees paid in the last 12 months.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify us from claims arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

16. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time. Upon termination, data may be deleted in accordance with our policies.

17. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Indian law. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of [City], India.

18. Disclaimer

AI-based extraction may contain inaccuracies. Always review your data.

19. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms with 30 days' notice. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
